We are doing everything we can to make sure we are getting food out to the people that need it in a safe and healthy way as are our friends at Compass Point, Wellington square, Open Doors at St Christopher’s, Salvation Army, Food for Life and Compassion Society – all of these agencies are doing their own part to help out our city with food insecurity. Will our clients ever be able to come to the food bank, walk in and shop for their needs? That’s how they used to get their support. It gave us an opportunity to see and to talk to them each month they came in and they were able to just select exactly what they wanted. We try our best to accommodate customized orders over the phone now. In order to get back to that support model we need to get our covid numbers in the City and Province down. The only way we know of to accomplish this is for everyone, who is comfortable with it, to get vaccinated and to follow all of the simple safety protocols (distance, wash hands, sanitize, family-only, wear a mask). Everyone at each level of government is trying hard to get the important information to us and our City of Burlington has everything you need for links to info on their website https://www.burlington.ca/

If you are in need or know of someone who could use our help, PLEASE have them email us at info@burlingtonfoodbank.ca or call 905-637-2273 to make arrangements to have food dropped at their door or make arrangements to pick it up through our curb-side pickup option. If you are a resident in Burlington, we are all here to help. Don’t struggle – give us a call
