Make sure you are drinking lots of water. An extended heat warning has been issued by Halton Region for Aug. 23, 2021. When a heat warning is issued, residents can stay cool at all open Burlington Public Library branches. Heat warnings are issued by Halton Region when temperatures are expected to be at least 31°C and overnight temperatures are above 20°C for at least 3 days or humidex is at least 40 for at least 2 days. Cooling Centres are open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the heat warning. Please take extra care and check on neighbours and friends.

We have seen an increase in the number of people asking for assistance which is great to see. Please don’t be afraid to let us help you out. We can supply non-perishables and perishables such as Milk, bread, fresh produce, dairy and proteins. We try to provide healthy and nutritious foods for you and your family. We have a good supply of volunteer drivers to help deliver anonymously to your door.
