So glad to hear that the Rotary Lakeshore Burlington Ribfest went so well yesterday! Another example of great people in Burlington coming together to forge ahead in creative ways to lift our spirits in a community event to help out charities in our town. The volunteers were first class throughout the whole experience – Great job!

This is Hunger Action Month and this week we are focused on advocacy. One of the big things we do as part of Feed Ontario is advocate on behalf of our clients and others that struggle with low income and poverty. Being part of the Feed Ontario Advocacy Committee we have been able to approach the provincial government and share with them some of the possible solutions to the struggles many people are facing everyday. What started as a potential health crisis with Covid-19, has also become a housing crisis for a lot of the clients we serve. People are getting behind on rent and mortgages and we need the province to step in to support these individuals and families in need. Please continue to think of ways you can support those who are marginalized here in Burlington.
