Yesterday we had our largest number of families served in a day – 52 households including 38 in the morning and 14 in the evening breaking our food bank record yet again. Oddly enough though we didn’t realize it until the day was over as our volunteers were so calm, making it seem like an average day and business as usual. Thank you to all of our volunteers and staff for your hard work and doing such a fantastic job! Thanks to all the donors that keep our supplies coming in. Just a reminder to everyone that ordering take out from local restaurants really helps them out especially right now during the lockdown. We’ve asked restaurants for help in the past and they always came through for us here in Burlington. The ON Restaurants FB group recently got together and helped us out with a major donation in December – despite all the trials and tribulations they’ve been put through. They are the folks that either own or work in the restaurant service industry proving how much they care about our community. If you’re in the financial position to, please help them out this weekend!

If you are in need or know of someone who could use our help PLEASE have them email us at info@burlingtonfoodbank.ca or call 905-637-2273 to make arrangements to have food dropped at their door or make arrangements to pick it up through our curb-side pickup option. If you live in Burlington, we are here to help. Don’t struggle – give us a call.
