Robin is with Burlington City Councillor for Ward 5, Paul Sharman to discuss food insecurity in his constituency. Paul mentions that 10% of Burlington residents are living at or below the poverty level and Ward 5 is not immune to that. There are many that are living in challenging circumstances especially now. Budgeting issues are not confined only to those living in lower priced housing as many residents living in larger homes face greater debt at this time. Paul says its daunting as well as a pleasure to see that families are able to come to the Burlington Food Bank or to the Salvation Army to get food relief right now. Both the Salvation Army and the Food Bank are ready to help out residents no matter where they live in our City.
