Thank you to our federal government for their Summer Jobs Program. Last year we were able to take advantage of this opportunity and were delighted to have hired Sam Zulian for the entire summer. She was an amazing, integral part of our team and we were all sad to see her go back to Laurier 😊. Sam enhanced everything we do at the Burlington Food Bank and was wonderful to work with. We have received approval of our summer job application and are now able to bring on a student for 16 weeks of employment.  We are pleased to welcome Jennifer (Jenny) Seikiel – a recent McMaster university grad that is looking to begin her Masters in the fall. The Summer Jobs Program is a great way for us to engage youth here at the food bank. Jenny will be interacting with our clients, she will also help us build content for the Burlington Hunger Report which we are very excited about.

If you are in need or know of someone who could use our help PLEASE have them email us at info@burlingtonfoodbank.ca or call 905-637-2273 to make arrangements to have food dropped at their door or make arrangements to pick it up through our curb-side pickup option. If you are a resident in Burlington, we are all here to help. Don’t struggle – give us a call.
