We wanted to thank our Burlington community for the tremendous support we receive. Many ask where we get our funding from. It is completely from private donations. When you drop food into the bins at stores or at the fire halls, that gets directly to us. There are a number of grocery stores that help us out in addition to providing donation bins inside their stores. We have some national partnerships with Walmart, Loblaws and Giant Tiger. For perishables we receive donations from some of the gardeners that are part of Burlington Together’s Grow a Row, we receive fresh produce from FreshWagon.ca each week and we also have our own garden plots that are looked after by Samantha LeGrand. We don’t receive any government funding unless its part of a grant that we apply for but that’s usually for big ticket items we need. It really comes down to the local community here in Burlington, making donations and we thank you for that.

If you are in need or know of someone who could use our help, PLEASE have them email us at info@burlingtonfoodbank.ca or call 905-637-2273 to make arrangements to have food dropped at their door or make arrangements to pick it up through our curb-side pickup option. If you are a resident in Burlington, we are all here to help. Don’t struggle – give us a call.
