We usually begin to see a drop-off of donations just after Easter and things usually quiet down somewhat however we continue to receive a higher number of requests and we give out more food that usual. So that relief comes from a combination of our own food purchases plus any community donations. We ask that if you’re out shopping at a grocery store please try to drop something into the donation bins they have. That food gets to either us or to the salvation army. You can also drop off a donation to any firehall and we go to each station for a pick up once a week. Shawna Stolte makes a weekly drive throughout Ward 4 and offers to pick up any food donations left on porches. Andrea Florian from Florian Realty runs a porch pickup every Friday as well.
