Adria Cehovin wanted to thank all of the volunteers and the contributors for this week’s donations for families in Burlington. The Urban Farm has been harvesting many lbs of fresh food donations every week. The bountiful harvest is a result of the efforts of these amazing volunteers. Adria mentioned that everyone answered the call when needed, helping out fellow volunteers when the weather was too hot. Who needs a gym when you can run water in buckets down each hay bale alleyway feeding the plants. Tuesday mornings between 9am and 10am they are still collecting and accepting produce and even dry goods for at least the next two weeks.

Ask to the community – Adria would like to provide a thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers this coming Saturday sept 18 at 9am at the Urban Farm. Is there anyone in Burlington willing to provide some sort of token giveaway thankyou or even a takeaway lunch? Something to thank their 30-50 volunteers. This has become a heart-warming community effort and a community success story! If you can help with this please contact Adria (grow4changes@gmail.com)

The Urban Farm is here in downtown Burlington (Brant St. and Ghent Avenue). There are 148 huge straw bales about 7ft x 3ft each. The project has been run extremely well thanks to the volunteers. https://www.facebook.com/I.will.grow.for.change/ for more details.
