Robin mentioned lately that our volunteers have been noticing our stocks dwindling away. This is normal for this time of the year really as we see the same number of clients (or more) needing support and at the same time the donations slow down. That coupled with the pandemic means people aren’t getting out as often as they once were so their donations have softened. One of the ways you could help us on an ongoing basis would be through a monthly financial donation of any amount you are comfortable with. This can be done very easily from our website. This helps us purchase the exact foods we are continually running out of and helps us plan as well. This week we received a shipment of fresh chicken from Feed Ontario which we were able to share through our network of food agencies. Its wonderful to have community support and support from Feed Ontario and we’re more than happy to share with our network.

If you are in need or know of someone who could use our help PLEASE have them email us at info@burlingtonfoodbank.ca or call 905-637-2273 to make arrangements to have food dropped at their door or make arrangements to pick it up through our curb-side pickup option. If you are a resident in Burlington, we are all here to help. Don’t struggle – give us a call.
