Twenty nine years ago, six hockey wives formed BOWSER (Burlington Oldtimers’ Women Supplying Emergency Relief) with a mandate to help the less fortunate citizens of Burlington with a monthly collection of food and cash, all of which would be donated to the Burlington Food Bank. On the 3rd Sunday of each month during the hockey season the “BOWSER BABES” would be at the arenas to collect non-perishable food items and household necessities. Some members preferred to donate cash in the bucket at the BOWSER table. All donations were appreciated and distributed to Burlington residents through the Food Bank. The grand total collected was $684,526. Simply amazing!

We want to THANK the retiring Bowser Babes for what they accomplished for the BOHC and for our Burlington community. We look forward to helping the new Babes in any way they need us and to keep the drive going
