With today’s STAY-AT-HOME, State of Emergency Order for Ontario, its putting a lot of stress on the community – mostly just trying to determine what you can or can’t do with respect to grocery stores. Lot’s of us are out of work again and need to watch our budgets this month. If you do find yourself in a local grocery store please BE KIND as possible to the people working in there. They are essential workers – we need them to keep our food safe and help look after our own safety when we go in to gather food and they are doing their best. At the Food Bank here, we are doing everything we can for our volunteers to make sure they keep safe and see that we all follow the safety measures with proper PPE. We want you to know that the food we get to you is clean and safe and it gets to you in a confidential and contactless manner.

If you are in need or know of someone who could use our help PLEASE have them email us at info@burlingtonfoodbank.ca or call 905-637-2273 to make arrangements to have food dropped at their door or make arrangements to pick it up through our curb-side pickup option. If you are a resident in Burlington, we are all here to help. Don’t struggle – give us a call.
