We’re not proud of this but we hit a new single-day record last week serving 37 families in just one day. We’re happy to be here for them all and appreciate all the hard work from our volunteers for making this happen. A normal day for us is serving 20 to 25 families.

We would like to thank everyone that took time to support the local food drives this weekend. We want you to know that every single donation helps us. Even though the weather wasn’t on our side and the numbers seem to be less than we are used to seeing, its all still very much appreciated. We even had some financial donations come in from our website that cited local food drives as the source – thank you for that. We have to realize that times have changed and especially now that we are in the RED zone, everyone is being careful and safe. John T Tuck school and St Marks Catholic School are doing cash food drives for us right now.

John T. Tuck’s food drive is now virtual! Their initial goal is $1,000, &/or 250 lbs of food. You can make a financial donation online at https://burlingtonfoodbank.ca/donate/financial-donation/… and select John T. Tuck from the drop-down list.  @BurlFoodBank will be tracking donations for them – This is the season to help others!

If you are in need or know of someone who could use our help PLEASE have them email us at info@burlingtonfoodbank.ca or call 905-637-2273 to make arrangements to have food dropped at their door or make arrangements to pick it up through our curb-side pickup option. If you live in Burlington, we are here to help. Don’t struggle – give us a call.
