We would like to thank all the teachers in our community that are trying to help students learn during these trying circumstances. March Break would normally be happening right now and instead, some schools celebrated St. Patrick’s Day. The break is planned at this time for a reason – the kids and teachers need a break around mid March. We can’t seem to get a break this year so everyone is working through and persevering. We can just imagine the stress everyone’s going though in school and just wanted to shout out to Halton Food for Thought. We are preparing the snack packs that they delivered to us so that we can support students right now. Fresh apples, granola bars, cheese or yogurt tubes, and we also add juice boxes and one more snack type, typically a fruit cup — all going out in our deliveries to families with school-aged children for the next little while.

As we get closer to Easter now, we want to remind everyone to let us know if you are planning any food drives so that we can help you promote these events on our website and social media.

If you are in need or know of someone who could use our help PLEASE have them email us at info@burlingtonfoodbank.ca or call 905-637-2273 to make arrangements to have food dropped at their door or make arrangements to pick it up through our curb-side pickup option. If you are a resident in Burlington, we are all here to help. Don’t struggle – give us a call
