What Our Volunteers Do

Our many committed volunteers make it all worthwhile!

Our dedicated volunteers have helped us by giving hope to those living with hunger in Burlington. We could not function at the Burlington Food Bank without our volunteers. Community volunteers, of over 100 men, women and students, have committed thousands of hours every year, since 1991, helping us to fight hunger and feed hope in Burlington.

Volunteers help us by:

  • Performing various tasks in the warehouse: sorting food, cleaning, organizing, stocking shelves
  • Staffing our reception desk
  • Assisting clients with their food selections
  • Assisting with administrative tasks
  • Assisting with pickups with donor bins at fire halls and grocery stores
  • Assisting at special events in support of Burlington Food Bank
  • Organizing local food drives
  • Becoming a member of our Board of Directors
  • Speaking to service clubs and church groups about our impact in the community

Volunteering is not only a great help to us,
it’s also incredibly rewarding for those who give their time.
