Our Burlington community should be very proud of all that they’ve done to date and continue to do to support each other. Burlington Together (such an appropriate name for this group) started a recent monetary Thanksgiving drive for us and they have also helped to promote the Nickel Brook October Cause for a Cause campaign which supports us.

The Burlington Dads have partnered up with the Killbride Volunteer Firefighters Association to do a non-perishable food collection for the us and for our friends at the Compassion Society of Halton. They asked everyone to donate before October 8th and several local businesses graciously opened their doors as drop off points for the Dads. With everything that’s happened this year, the need for helping people in this city has never been clearer. Today one of the Dads (Jordan Bradburn) will be driving around in an old 1937 Ford fire truck picking up donations and plans to bring them to the Food Bank around 5:30pm. That’s going to be a very cool site to see. The Dads and Burlington Together never cease to amaze us.

Also, each year at this time we host our annual Ride to Provide spin marathon as our own fundraiser. In lieu of the pandemic it was cancelled however last year’s host’s – Cedar Springs Sports and Racquet Club Squash Members helped us out by collecting donated turkeys from their members for us to distribute to families this weekend! Thanks Burlington!
