Today the Burlington Food Bank announced the incredible news that we will be opening a brand new distribution centre in October 2023 at 5280 Mainway Unit 5, Burlington. This initiative will be an exciting opportunity for the Burlington Food Bank to help strengthen and build a more cohesive food security network within the City of Burlington and in time, the Region of Halton.

As a supporter of the Food Bank, you may already be aware that 2022 saw more people asking us for assistance than ever before. We saw a staggering 20,420 individuals assisted over the year and this has led us to develop a plan to take the necessary steps to ensure that we can continue to ‘provide nutritious food to the hungry of our community in a dignified and timely manner’.

We’re incredibly grateful to our Burlington Food Bank Board team who have worked tirelessly to make this incredible moment possible. We are also thankful to the developers, Melrose Investments, for their support in this project.
