Growing Food

Donations of freshly grown fruits, vegetables and herbs are an incredible way to show your neighbours in need that they matter. There are a few different ways to get involved in this summer and help grow food for our community.
Keeping The Light On Concert

We are excited to announce the upcoming “Keeping The Light On” Concert, which will take place on Friday, June 16 at 7:00PM at St. John’s Burlington. The concert is a fundraising event for the Burlington Food Bank and all proceeds will go towards helping those in need in our community.

We want to extend a huge thank you to Walmart Canada, and especially Walmart Burlington North and Walmart Burlington South, for raising an incredible $19,924.64 for the Burlington Food Bank through their Fight Hunger Spark Change Campaign earlier this year! It’s Smile Cookie Week!

For the first time, the iconic Tim Hortons Smile Cookie charitable campaign will kick off in the spring, launching in Tims restaurants across Canada and the United States starting on May 1 and running through May 7.

Walmart: Fight Hunger, Spark Change

February 16 until March 15
Walmart Canada and Food Banks Canada kick off the seventh annual Fight Hunger, Spark Change campaign, beginning February 16, 2023, and running through March 15, 2023, in Walmart stores across the country to benefit local food banks.
